Project Title: Redesign or total creation of Georgia 4-H Cotton Boll and Consumer Judging module
Project Description: Recently students of Dr. Clinton's evaluated the module developed by a previous class to assist 4-H agents in training students and volunteers for the Georgia 4-H Cotton Boll and Consumer Judging contest.

As a result, we see the need for the current module to be partially or totally redesigned based on the results of that evaluation.

The Current module is located online at: http://www.georgia4h.org/public/edops/judging/cbcj/CBCJTraining1/index.htm

I would love to work with a team to make edits and improvements to this valuable training tool that reaches 4-H youth in almost every county across the state!  It would be used more and help agents in both  in -person and online instruction.

Project Title: The Student-Centered Learning Guide
Project Description: Hello!

I am Eunbae Lee. I am Assistant Professor of Instructional Technology at Georgia Southern University. I would like to a talented team of instructional designers and developers to build an interactive website that guides students to learn in an autonomous, self-directed manner.

I have developed a design framework for student-centered learning that has three intersecting elements of ownership building, scaffolding learning, and the creation of digital artifacts. The framework is called Own it, Learn it, and Share it (OLSit).

I have a paper written to guide the implementation of SCL under OLSit so your team can review the theories, design guidelines, and some examples how it has been implemented in the college classrooms in an early stage. My hope is that you can create an interactive website that teachers can manipulate different options using templates and students can create their own learning experiences within the website.

I hope my proposal is selected and I look forward to working with you!

Project Title: Elevate - An Online Education Experience for Couples
Project Description: Elevate, developed in collaboration between The University of Georgia and Auburn University as part of the National Extension Relationship and Marriage Education Network (NERMEN), is a couples education curriculum that engages couples in learning and practicing the seven core principles/skills essential to maintaining healthy and stable relationships. I am interested in support to develop Elevate – online, an adaptation of the face-to-face program tailored to support unmarried couples as they take their relationship to the “next level” – marriage, while also maintaining basic usefulness for couples in other relationship circumstances. The content and topics of online Elevate will demonstrate sensitivity to diverse groups who may take the program. Based on each state’s regulations (including Georgia's), Elevate could fullfill the requirements for a marriage license discount for engaged couples who invest at least 6 hours in premarital education. The original 8-hour program, which includes 8 lessons (see http://www.fcs.uga.edu/nermen/elevate), would be modified into interactive online modules that can be completed at the couples’ pace and schedule. Curriculum content would be presented using a platform that combines animated narration and visuals to stimulate learning and maintain engagement.

Project Title: Sustainable UGA Website Analytics
Project Description: We love our website and feel like it works well.  We are really interested in some help with people using our google analytics reports to go through our existing pages, help decide which to consolidate and which to remove to make our site cleaner and easier to find the information the user is interested in.

We also have a very robust internship program.  Each semester, approximately 25 students from many different degree programs work about 10 hours per week. Current projects are here: http://sustainability.uga.edu/get-involved/students/internships

I would really like a way for the student work to be turned into portfolios so that others can see the great work they do.  Could this be a project you would be interested in?

thanks!!

Project Title: Georgia Alliance for Health Literacy Website design
Project Description: The Georgia Alliance for Health Literacy is a volunteer organization dedicated to improving health decision making and reducing health disparities through clear communication of health information.  Our current website, www.GaHealthLiteracy.org, leaves much to be desired in terms of usability, utility, and appeal.  In fact, it is itself hardly a paragon of health literacy best practices.

We need to redesign the entire website to better reflect the mission of the organization.  The newly revised Health Literacy Online document at http://health.gov/healthliteracyonline/ would provide the standards we would seek to attain.

We especially hope to incorporate two new elements: (1) a searchable database for health literacy experts and consultants, and (2) a portal for health literacy guidelines that will enable individuals to identify the most relevant guidelines for their purposes (e.g., clinical care or health promotion, developing written materials or person-to-person interactions, public-facing materials or professional materials, etc.)

Project Title: Georgia 4-H Clovers & Co.
Project Description: The Georgia 4-H performing Arts group, Clovers & Co. is celebrating it's 35th anniversary this year. We would like a robust, interactive website with photos of our past casts, highlights of our current and past shows ( we have videos that could be used for clips), a list of all the past casts, etc. , highlight alumni, etc.

We would like to integrate an online learning / educational component about our group as well.

We have just been selected by the Country Music Association for a grant to conduct an educational camp involving 4-H youth from several other states to teach them about our group and how to form groups of this type in their own respective states.  We think this could be included as part of our online educational component and also we could include trainer lessons for them to continue with once they return home.

Jennifer Nettles is a past member of our group and we have SEVERAL notable alumni that could be featured in training and for stories.

We would like our social media feeds embedded on the site and are looking for ways to engage our extended list of alumni in giving back to the group as well!

I am open to ideas and would LOVE to work with you all on this.  I want this to be engaging and interactive and teach about the performing arts in Georgia 4-H!

Project Title: 4-H Food Challenge training
Project Description: Georgia 4-H is about to start a new contest called the 4-H Food Challenge.

There is an existing National 4-H Food Challenge that Georgia 4-H'ers will be able to qualify to compete in. ( it is similar to the show "Chopped" on the Food Network , except 4-H'ers compete in teams of 4 - 6 youth.) There will be two levels of competition - Juniors - grades 6 - 8 and Seniors - grades 9 - 12.

I would love to have a training module and site to explain  and educate
4-H'ers about the contest that would include videos and interactive information that the 4-H'ers will need to know to be successful in the contest.

I have many resources that can be used by the team to assist in the development of this project.

I have worked with LDT on several projects in the past and the results have been beyond my expectations!   See examples at:

Project Title: Scholarship of Engagement Interactive Learning Commons
Project Description:

How do your create an interactive, virtual, international learning community or commons for engaged scholars? This project seeks assistance to interface or connect two static websites to create such a sustainable environment to enhance the knowledge about and the practice of community-university partnerships. One website is that of the Journal of Higher Education Outreach and Engagement, published by UGA (see http://openjournals.libs.uga.edu/index.php/jheoe/index). This Journal is one of the oldest, best established in its field, but could be enhanced with opportunities to feature authors, dialogue with authors, connect authors and others studying similar topics, and so forth. The other is an outdated site called the scholarshipofengagement.org which could be the hub for innovative interactions. Both sites are under the auspices of Lorilee Sandmann, who works with a JHEOE editorial team that would serve to assist the student(s) taking on this project.
